Starting out in 2009 with a boutique in Yorkshire, Joshua James Jewellery has grown into an award-winning jewellery retailer.

Founded by Managing Director Shaun Bell, our flagship store opened on The Weir in the popular town of Hessle, East Yorkshire, overlooked by the Humber Bridge and continues to thrive amongst a variety of boutique stores. Shortly after opening, the Joshua James website was launched and has proven a success since, with almost 1 million orders placed!

Over the years Joshua James has won multiple industry awards for it's retail services and customer-friendly website. To this day, Joshua James continues to win awards; having most recently won Marketing Campaign of the Year at the UK Jewellery Awards 2020 against globally recognised brands such as Swarovski. We are looking to introduce a Social Media Executive to our growing Marketing Team. The Social Media Executive will liaise directly with our Marketing Manager to develop and implement social media campaigns, with the main goals of increasing engagement and brand awareness across all social channels for multiple brands. Covering a range of markets this is a fast paced and varied role perfect for someone looking to develop their skills in a rapidly growing business.

Salary: £20,000 - £22,000. 

Hours: Full time.

Job role will include:

Overseeing all social media channels for all brands associated with Joshua James ventures Ltd

Building and developing new accounts where necessary

Creating and building relationships with influencers to further boost our brand awareness

Developing and scheduling engaging, creative and innovative content for all social channels

Responding to and dealing with all comments and queries received across social channels

Working alongside the wider team to ensure all content is in line with wider campaigns

Coordinating with wider team to identify gaps and build content library

Tracking and monitoring key social and customer metrics, providing weekly and monthly updates to wider team, and utilising data to develop future activity


What we are looking for: 

Someone who’s passionate about social media and the effects it can have on a business’s performance

At least 2 years experience within a Social Media role

A creative and hardworking mindset

Proven knowledge of working with all social media platforms

Strong verbal and written skills

Strong proof reading and editing skills

Experience working within a small team 

Committed to getting the job done

 

It would be desirable to see examples of past work showcasing how you have developed brand accounts.

We are looking to introduce a SEO & Content Executive to our growing Marketing Team. The SEO & Content Executive will liaise directly with our Marketing Manager to develop and implement multiple content-based strategies to improve our visibility, engage our audience and drive growth. From blog content to website copy, this will be a fast-paced role sure to keep you on your toes, and perfect for someone looking to develop their skills in a rapidly growing business.

Salary: £20,000 - £22,000

Hours: Full time

Job role will include:

Responsibility for effectively improving our positions on Google, combining SEO best practice with engaging, user centred, and data driven content, across blog posts, website copy and product descriptions

Planning future content in a timely manner

Identifying and addressing any content gaps across the site

Regular reviewing and improving existing content in-line with keyword research

Working alongside our wider team to unify content distribution and wider digital comms messaging

Monthly analysis of organic search performance, evaluating past work and identifying any new opportunities or threats

Creating and delivering a link building and outreach strategy


What we are looking for:

Someone who’s passionate about all things content and the possibilities it can bring to our business

At least 2 years experience in content based roles

Analytical with a high level of experience in reporting and analysis for SEO and content

Proven history of devising, writing and creating top quality content

Strong verbal and written skills

Strong proof reading and editing skills

Experience working within a small team

Committed to getting the job done
